United Theological Seminary wants to participate in your lifelong learning! The School for Discipleship and Renewal (SDR) was created specifically for this purpose. The SDR houses a variety of centers and programs aimed at raising awareness of key issues, expanding one´s knowledge and shaping one´s ministry skills, and offering opportunities for participation.

While one might presume that a seminary is only interested in offering lifelong learning to seminary graduates and pastors, that is far from the truth. The SDR welcomes clergy and laity alike, graduates as well as those with no seminary training. If you are passionate about the Kingdom of God and have a vision for renewing the Church in the power of the Spirit, you are welcome to participate in the SDR´s multiple programs.

This School for Discipleship and Renewal blog is the place to keep informed of lifelong learning ideas and opportunities.

Let me briefly introduce you to the various centers and programs in the SDR. Their respective directors and coordinators will be writing the posts in this blog.

Pohly Center for Leadership and Supervision
Center for Worship, Preaching and the Arts
Hispanic Christian Academy
Urban Ministry Center
Harriet L. Miller Women´s Center
Course of Study (United Methodist)

Make sure you bookmark this blog (RSS feed). The SDR Blog will have something for you each month, and we invite your comments!
